Reiki is a technique of channeling universal life force energy into a recipient.
Reiki is usually performed by placing the hands in a series of positions over or slightly above the body. Reiki promotes natural healing by activating the relaxation response and helping the body to balance itself from a very deep level using universal life force energy.
Our physical bodies have a mesh of tubes made up of collagen and filled with a very fine fluid, called the myofascial system which links all parts of us, like an energetic superhighway. The myofascial system carries signals in the form of tiny electrical light impulses called biophotons (meaning biological light) which are said to be the smallest sparks of conscious energy, carrying the very building blocks of life, allowing all cells to communicate with one another.
During Reiki, the universal life force energy travels within our myofascial system to our seven major points, where there is more fascia than in other areas. These being the seven main chakra energy centres.
